At eLumindata, we wanted a user experience that was simple, approachable, and generally different from the vast array of analytical tools. The result was an interactive experience that enabled non-technical users to perform complex multidimensional analysis. The overall expeerience consistently got rave reviews from pilot customers.
I designed and developed this website for a company that offers high-end video “retrospectives.” In addition to the visual design work, I developed a feature-rich custom video player, designed the animations, and optimized and encoded the video.
I designed and developed a Website for a new laundry valet company. The company is no longer in business but you can see screen shots below. This is a good example of my wide range of abilities: database modeling, visual design, prototyping, content development, client-side interactivity, and the ASP.NET middle tier. I was literally a one-man show on this project.
At TeleTech, a global leader in business process outsourcing, I designed, prototyped, and developed an entire suite of intranet applications to be used by call center agents, supervisors, and executive management. At the time, this was a cutting edge implementation of RIA: a browser-based application using JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX. This application experience really set the gold standard for interactive design at TeleTech.
Pulte Mortgage was looking to develop an internal web-based application to help with some of their loan processes. This sample is a good example of effective medium-fidelity prototyping as part of an iterative requirements process. After gathering all the requirements from the business, I put this visual specification together. It allowed the business and end users to more clearly evaluate the proposed solution at a very early stage.
This presentation was an integral part of my effort to evangelize the benefits of Rich Internet Applications at Statera. The challenge was to communicate complex concepts in a compelling fashion to audiences that were not all that technical. The presentations were very well-received and led to several consulting engagements.

These are a couple of examples of design and prototype work. Marella was looking to refresh its Web presence with a more contemporary design. The second example was done to show how a training and fitness company could extend their workouts to the Web.
This was a presentation I gave detailing my preferred User Experience process. While my thoughts have changed a bit over time (see here), I still hold largely to this process and it reprsents a good example of my critical thinking and presentation of ideas.
